WOW Blog; But Do You? By Tabatha Rutherford

But Do You?

This morning sitting in my quiet time something was brought to my attention once again. This wasn’t the first time hearing this but I needed more time on what God was teaching me in this moment. As I continued to sit in silence He drew me back to last month on what I had written down but didn’t finish. As I took another sip of my hug in a mug, I looked up and said “ it’s time I see now Abba.”

So many times I hear people say, to include myself by the way, “ I want the old you back again, I miss who you use to be.” What God spoke to me in those moments each time that thought arose I heard Him say “ You didn’t know them like I did back then my child.” God is right and I’ll tell you why. We do not know some of the hidden things that that person use to do. We do not know the intimate details that our Father knows. He is saying trust Him and push forward with where He is taking you. That person that you thought was so loving and caring way back then, might have some things you wouldn’t be able to deal with today if it was exposed to you. Let it go so that Yahweh can do Good work in and through them as well as you in this season. I’m not saying it’ll be easy, but it will be worth it in the long run! Let the transformation begin with you and the rest will fall into place. Those old version need not to exist in your thoughts any longer.

The old is gone, the new is here and if it’s not yet, keep on leaning on God as He shows you how to walk this season through. Everyone has a past and what I say is be careful what you wish for or speak because that old version may have been more toxic than you knew. Stay grounded in Gods word it’s tough I know when we fall and go through these changes, but with God you and I can endure all things! So my question is…. But do you? Really think about that.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19.

I love you all ♥️. ~Tabatha ~
