“The sky is not falling.” Like the children’s poem, people are panicking as they look at our nation and seeing spiritual weakness and rebellion all around us. While it is true we don’t live in a permanent world and mindfully we are not permanently attached to it — we have a living hope. (1 Peter 1:1-25). This generation needs to hear that God is able to take us through the deserts of a pandemic, other diseases, increasing immorality, drug addiction, climate change, rising violence, civil unrest, federal budget deficit and election 2020 updates. “BUT GOD!” All the more reason people weighed down, need to keep their faith in God, (2 Cor. 5:7). Have courage and faith in God, even when it feels like the sky is falling. The situation is not Hopeless!
Father, when we see through eyes of fear or hatred, we need your mighty strength because we are weak. Help us overcome anxieties and deliver this generation to spiritual maturity, through Your Word and a will to succeed. Help us avoid the temptation to give in to hopelessness, In Jesus Name.
God will carry us through. Have courage to walk by faith, not by sight. Have you found yourself unreasonably afraid versus faith-filled? When you “go and tell,” what voice speaks on your behalf, your voice of faith or your voice of fear? Keep looking up, “The sky is not falling!”
